Business Issue :
A wholesale energy trading company needed an Intranet Portal System that would
allow staff members, once securely logged on with an integrated login, to
customize their view of all the data sources.
The Portal needed to allow users to have varying levels of authorization, as well
as, allowing any piece of content to be secured. An administration application was
also necessary to allow for updating the user access and for general content
management.
Solution :
BroadBase designed and constructed a custom Portal solution. Using Microsoft
tools, a dynamic LDAP structure was developed that would handle all of the
data storage needs of the Portal. This allowed for considerable
flexibility and durability as the application grew in size and users.
Result :
By applying BroadBase's expertise in Microsoft technologies, we were able to
deliver a custom web portal that allows the wholesale energy trading staff a
more centralized and organized approach for accesssing their business data.
With its customizability each user can adjust the portal to their
productivity needs.
